American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

I have been visiting Padaminas for many years, and I have always recognized the excellent quality of its products. I have also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who has always been very kind and welcoming. However, for some time now, I have noticed a very clear problem: the customer service. In fact, among my coworkers, there is a phrase we often use: “If you are happy and want to get upset, go to this bakery.” Unfortunately, that reputation did not come from nowhere. Today, for example, I went the morning, and the young woman with freckles on her face literally tossed the bread onto the counter. There was no “good morning,” “welcome,” “thank you,” or even a simple “hello.” These may seem like small details, but they make a big difference. As a customer, you expect to feel welcomed and valued, not treated as though you are being a burden. Some of the young women working there seem annoyed whenever a customer asks a question or requests something additional. As customers, we are not asking for a favor; we are paying for a product. It is very uncomfortable to feel that even a simple request causes visible frustration or an unfriendly attitude. I do want to make it clear that

My friend asks me occasionally to pick up goods from them. I embarrass myself trying to order in Portuguese with her help but Can find the difference between two and twelve by bag size. Their bread and pastry is quite good. There are always patrons having a meal and discussion.

The food itself was okay—nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. It took about 25 minutes just to assemble my lunch plate, which is far too long for a simple order. The staff didn’t seem rushed or particularly attentive, so the wait felt even more frustrating. If you’re not in a hurry, it might be fine, but if you’re on a lunch break or short on time, be prepared to wait. Faster service would make a big difference here.

The baked goods are one of a kind, authentic brazilian baked goods. i missed the photo of one of my favorite Milho - corn cake so moist and just the perfect balance in sweetness. The downside is "first come" you will be surprise by which one is available & time of availability no one knows. Coffee/tea self serve. Latin cashiers are pleasant!

Nice local spot filled with great food, definitely have a fried chicken ball with the green mayo sauce. I'll be back.
